What was the highlight of Sunrise Business Hotel - Ximen
The room was so clean!
The room was so clean! Beds were super comfy with really nice linens
1) Staff: weren’t very friendly, especially the man at the front desk with dyed blonde hair. Always ignored us when we came in/out of the lobby. Never acknowledged us. The woman who checked us in made us wait a while she was on the phone. Maybe that’s normal in Taiwan, but for us in Canada, you would put the caller on hold while you help actual guests. 2) Our hallway smelt like cigarette smoke 3) At one point we used the stairs and it was obstructed on every floor by either towels, linens, laundry or luggage. It was basically used as a storage, which is such a fire hazard! 4) Washroom has tinted glass as the door/walls, so you can see the other person on the toilet. It’s also a sliding door that doesn’t close properly, so you can hear everything. Really uncomfortable, especially considering how small the room is.

Pleasant budget Kaohsiung stay
Great strong shower, decent bed, airco, refrigerator, kettle, tv (only cnn or chinese channels). Location near Liu He market quite ok, still a stiff walk to the mrt. Free bikes (but not very good condition, no lights, crappy lock, noisy breaks, no bell... Better register for youbike.com.tw!) Felt very welcomed by the rainbow flags and brokeback mountain movie announcement ;)
Dust, hairs, empty drink bottles, left behind slippers under the bed, the not too well cleaned carpet is not suitable for people with asthma /dust allergy. Window did not stop street noises. No shelf or cupboard for clothes. One side of the bed placed against the wall. No mirror in the room, only mirror is in the bathroom and has badly placed ceiling spot. No handsoap provided, only shampoo/body wash dispensers in shower. Staff's English ability very limited.

If you hate smoking smell, I am not recommended. But it was good location from night market.
Good location that near Carrefour, Mc, Starbucks and Ximending night market
I had booked no smoking room but I smelled the smoking smell every night and all night so I cannot sleep well. I had to open the restroom light to open the odor absorber and I also cannot sleep well because the room is too bright from the light.
